Chefs Inspiring Success


Chefs Inspiring Success is closely modeled after The Food Network’s Iron Chef television program. Head chefs from top restaurants in the Triangle will be invited to come together to compete for the title of “2012 Chef Inspiring Success,” in what will become an annual competition and fundraiser. These chefs will each be given a backpack of identical ingredients to create an Iron Chef dish for attendees to sample.

Communities In Schools of North Carolina has been slated to be the kick-off to Triangle Restaurant Week, June 4 –10, 2012. Saturday, June 2, 2012 7 – 11 p.m. Exposition Center, N.C. State Fair Grounds 1025 Blue Ridge Road Raleigh, NC, 27607.

Individual tickets are $50.00 per person. Funds raised will support Communities In Schools of North Carolina, part of the leading dropout prevention organization in the country.



We all have a role to play in the mission of surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. It is worthwhile to consider that sponsors of the inaugural “Chefs Inspiring Success” fundraising event will receive marketing visibility and exposure beyond just the “Chefs” event in June, because you are, in essence, partnering and supporting CISNC’s work more broadly—aligning your company with the most effective dropout prevention organization in the country and state.

One example of this is how the $30,000 Title Sponsor will be featured in a special edition advertising insert found within the April 2012 editions of the Triangle Business Journal, Triad Business Journal and Charlotte Business Journal and distributed to more than 30,000 readers across the state. This particular insert will not just be event-centric, but will capture the essence of Communities In Schools—from various success stories and highlights of local programs around the state to the organization’s undeniable impact statewide in channeling needed resources to students who are at the greatest risk of dropping out.

Another great example of how sponsorship of the “Chefs” event translates into longer-term alignment with CISNC’s mission and work is how a $10,000 Mission Chef Sponsor receives prominent recognition on two large-sized “Invest In Success” CISNC billboards, or how a $5,000 Vision Chef Sponsor receives recognition on one medium-sized billboard. This particular sponsorship offering, made possible by a generous partnership with Fairway Outdoor Advertising, is an amazing opportunity for your company to gain visibility as these vinyl billboards will be displayed in more than one location along the main interstate corridors in North Carolina over the course of the next two to three years.
